How Book & Claim Works
Book & Claim is a trading approach that decouples physical products from their green attributes. The physical flow of the product is not tied to the transfer of its environmental benefits. Physical products can be traded in conventional markets together with fossil fuels without needing to be distinguished, while the green attributes circulate separately in the form of virtual certificates. This helps reduce the complexity involved in the distribution and trading of green fuels.

Green Attributes Linked to Physical Fuel
The trading of green attributes and rights must be tied to the physical fuel itself, which limits the channels and opportunities for buyers interested solely in these attributes.
Additional Infrastructure Required
The storage and transportation of physical green fuels demand dedicated infrastructure. However, the current facilities remain insufficient to support large-scale green fuel trading.
Long Transportation Distances & High Costs
Accelerate the adoption of green energy by building an integrated international platform that promotes global development, trade, and investment in green energy.
High Complexity in Allocating
and Claiming Green Attributes
and Claiming Green Attributes
Because the green attributes are inseparable from the physical fuels and cannot be divided into shares, their value must be recognized by all stakeholders before the fuel can be purchased. Even limited resistance from some stakeholders can slow overall project progress and constrain the adoption of green fuels.

Green Rights No Longer Tied to Physical Fuel
Green rights are decoupled from physical fuels and can be transferred through certificates, eliminating many challenges associated with the application of physical fuels.
Physical Fuels Can Leverage Existing Infrastructure
They no longer require dedicated facilities and can be sold locally using existing infrastructure, reducing storage and transportation costs while offering greater flexibility in site selection.
Green Rights Trading No Longer Constrained by Distance
Since green rights are transferred exclusively through certificates, transactions can span supply chains, geographic regions, and even countries—offering far greater flexibility in trading formats.
Clear Ownership of Attributes Facilitates Green Fuel Adoption
Green attributes are traded separately in the form of certificates, having no impact on physical fuel users or stakeholders. A fair cost-sharing arrangement can further encourage transactions.
